Looking for an easy art project to try this Christmas? This STEAM Christmas art activity is perfect for children of any age to try and only uses a few materials you have at home already!
With Christmas nearly upon us, it can be tricky getting everything done. Working full time, my house is not a pretty sight with a serious cleanup required before any tree putting up can be done. In order to keep the kids busy while I washed the floors, I created this easy Christmas activity for them to do. Perfect for children of mixed ages, you don't need many materials at all to recreate this beautiful fake stained glass art.

I'm always on the looking out for different canvases to use. Earlier in the year I loved how Babble Dabble Do used some lasagna sheets to create their gorgeous Pasta Stained Glass Craft and with some sheets leftover from dinner the night before, I thought they'd be perfect for creating these faux stained glass panels.YOU MIGHT ALSO LIKE
HOW TO MAKE YOUR OWN
You will need:
- uncooked dry lasagna sheets
- black Sharpie pens or a thin black permanent marker
- a ruler
- a selection of coloured Sharpies or other markers
They are so easy to make!
Just rule up a simple design using a ruler and black Sharpie to replicate the lead work in real stained glass. We decided on these geometric designs. After ruling up our picture, we then used our collection of other Sharpies to add the colour to recreate the effect of different coloured glass like in a real stained glass window.

The surface of the pasta sheets creates a convincing canvas with the look of textured glass. They look stunning just on the tabletop!
And don't they look amazing with the light behind them!
